Mansfield Hammond, Sr., 88, died Sunday night in the Veteran's Hospital, Salem.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ruby Hammond, Salem; two daughters, Mrs. Mae Howerton, Falls Church; Mrs. Arlene Caking, Roanoke; three sons, Nathan Hammond, Ronnie Hammond, both of- Roanoke; Mansfield Hammond Jr., Radford; five sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Clark, Radford; Mrs. Lucille Cooper, Mrs. Kate Clear, Elizabethan, Tenn.; Mrs. Maude Crew, Fla.; Mrs. Dixie Burgess, Hotden, W. Va.; four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Stanley Harvey. Burial will follow in Sunrise Burial Park. Friends may call at DeVilbiss Funeral Home
