AVA-Helen Hazel Hamilton, 85, died at 11:55 a.m. Friday, July 9, 1999, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava, with the Rev. Kent Eaton officiating. Burial will be in the Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:30 a.m. until the time of service today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
Mrs. Hamilton was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Ava.
She was born on May 25, 1914, in Wolback, Neb., to Fred and Berdie (Cook) Nestor.
She married Robert Hamilton on Nov. 30, 1945, in Lincoln, neb. He survives of Ava.
Other survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Richard Holt of Murphysboro; two grandchildren, Debra Frey and husband, Alex, of Makanda and Jim Holt and wife, Joni, of Phoenix, Ariz. and two great-grandchildren, Kevin Frey and Benson Holt.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
