Mrs. Eva Q. Somers, 73, of Apalachln, died Saturday morning after a long illness, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Virginia) Ferry, Texas, Mrs. Francis (Betty) DeCator, Owego, Mrs. Howard (Mary Jane) Soules, Apalachin; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one niece, Mrs. Leroy (Katherine) Hill, Pittsburgh, Pa., also several other nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Apalachin United Methodist Church, and its WSCS. She was also a member of the Apalachin-Little Meadows Senior Citizens group. The body was removed to the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 25 East Main St., Apalachin, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev Albert F. Almstedt, pastor of the Apalachin United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Owego. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Mon day from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The famiiy requests in lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
