Barbara was a daughter of the late Benjamin O. and Hildegarde (Miller) Aiken. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elijah Sutton.

She cared for the elderly and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid.

She is survived by one son; two daughters; one brother, William Aiken, Accident; three sisters; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
