Mrs. Lee was born January 3, 1918 in Schley County, GA, the daughter of Annie Lumpkin Battle and Robert E. Battle. She ran a beauty shop in Ellaville and worked at Manhattan Shirt Company until her retirement. Mrs. Lee was a member of Ellaville Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Lee who died November 25, 1963. She is survived by two daughters, Ruth of Plains, GA, Becky of Ellaville; three sons, Robert , Henry , Lonnie (and their families.) Also surviving are nine grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by a son, James Richard Lee and a grandson, Robbie Lee.
