Erma married 21 December 1922 in Tolbert, Hardeman County, Texas to John Farmer Stanford, son of Thomas Jefferson Stanford 1852-1929 & Sarah Ethel Chapman 1868-1948.
They had four childen: William Thomas, Vaughn Dale, Darrell Lee & Virginia Ann Stanford.
Erma went to be with Jesus on 21 February 1984 in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico and was laid to rest next to her husband in the Friona Cemetery, Friona, Parmer County, Texas
