Otis L. Benham, 78, of Evansville , Ind. , passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2005 , at Deaconess Hospital.
Otis was a 1944 graduate of Bosse High School . He then joined the Army Air Force during WWII. Otis was a Mason. He was a tile contractor for many years and owned and operated Benham Tile. He later started another business Benham Tool and Supply Company where he retired. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, dancing, boating and camping at Barkley Lake. Otis was a charter member of the OBC (Outdoor Boating Club).
He is survived by daughter, Gale Avery and her husband, Galen, Bowling Green , Ky. ; and grandsons, Jason and Brian Avery, Bowling Green , Ky.
Funeral services are planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2005 , at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave , with the Rev. Steve Clayton officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2005 , at Browning Funeral Home.
Otis was preceded in death by his wife, Venita Benham, in 2002, and a son, Don Benham, in 1998.
