DANNA NYSTUEN, 63, died Oct. 10, 2001, at her home in Anchorage. No service was planned.
She was born Nov. 28, 1937, to Helen M. and Charles Q. Davis in Missoula, Mont. She spent most of her younger years in Missoula and attended Montana State University, now the University of Montana. She moved to Seattle in summer 1957 and, through a mutual friend, met Carman F. Nystuen. They were married Feb. 15, 1958. In 1971 they moved from Kirkland, Wash., to Anchorage with their three sons and daughter. Her family wrote: ''From the start of her marriage, one of Danna's goals was that solid family values would be the priority in raising her family. She was a homemaker first and foremost for many years, raising her children and accepting their many friends with open arms. Those family values that Danna dreamed of were indeed passed along to her children and their children. She had an enormous kind heart for both people and animals. Her flashy smile, bubbly personality and sincere graciousness will be forever missed by her friends and family.'' ''Danna owned and operated City Employment Agency, her talent working with people made her a natural for that business. She always looked for the good and strengths in people and not their weaknesses.''
She is survived by her mother, Helen Davis of Anchorage; sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Nadene Nystuen of Phoenix, Ariz., Mark and Terry Nystuen of Anchorage, Charles Nystuen of Anchorage; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Brian McGee of Anchorage; sister, Barbara Pointer of Barrow; niece and nephew, Lenore and Mike Pointer; former husband, Carman Nystuen; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Arrangements were by Kehl's Forest Lawn Mortuary & Crematory. (contributed by Nancy K #46949542)
