This plot was purchased by C.H. Hegwer in 1896, presumably for this baby. Family researchers show her birthday as around 1897 and death around 1902, but I believe the 1896 dates are more accurate. The parents were Charles Herman Hegwer and Margaret Lavina Richardson Hegwer. They are shown as living in Del Norte in 1900, but there is no Lela listed in the family, which leads me to believe she died before that time. The children who are listed are: Benjamin C., Walter H., and Ray A. The father, Charles, is said to have died in Kansas in 1911 and the mother, Margaret, is said to have died in Grand Junction, Colorado in 1919.
