COLOMA - Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Coloma Methodist Church for Christopher Chesebro, 81, who died Saturday morning at the Wisconsin General Hospital in Madison of complications resulting from a broken hip 16 months ago.
The Rev. James Wels officiated and burial was in the Fish Cemetery.
Mr. Chesebro was born in the town of Westfield, Marquette County, on June 14, 1869, the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Chesebro, and resided in the area all his life, operating a general store and later a tavern.
He married Eva Turner on July 4, 1898, Survivors include his wife, one son, earl Chesebro, one sister, Mrs. Sam Dewar, Westfield, and a grandson, Earl Chesebro Jr., in the U.S. Army.
