Mrs. Mary Addie Garrett, 72, of Edna Mills, died on Sunday at the St. Elizabeth hospital in Lafayette. She had been seriously ill for the past five weeks, following an illness which began some fourteen years ago. A native of Pickett county, Tennessee, she was born on May 3, 1886, the daughter of Dillard and Amanda Clark. On October 25, 1903, she was married to B. D. Garrett in Cumberland county, Kentucky. Mrs. Garrett had been a member of the True church most of her adult life, and since moving to Clinton county had lived on Rossville route 1.

She is survived by the husband; four sons, Marvin of Martinsville, Ledmon of Stockwell, Burl of Rossville, and Carl of Upland, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Beulah Wisely of Lafayette, Mrs. William Staples of Greenwood, and Mrs. Merle Deckard of Detroit, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Jones of Waynetown and Mrs. Arthur F. Soell and Mrs. Verna Parshley, both of Louisville, Ky.; and five brothers, Reuben Clark of Willow Shade, Ky., Alex Clark of Louisville, Ky., Homer Clark of Williamsport, and Quincy and Morris Clark, both of Attica.

Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. on Tuesday at the Moore & Brown Funeral Home, Rossville, with the Rev. Fred Craft officiating. Burial was in the Johnson cemetery at Stockwell.
