Frank T. Bussell, 88, of 54 Martin Road died Friday in St. Raphael's Hospital. He was the husband of 1. Mary E. Sheehan Bussell, (1909-1970) 2. Vera Duggan Hine Bussell. Mr. Bussell was born Oct. 2, 1909, in New Haven, the son of the late Walter and Helen Thomas Bussell. He was a lifelong East Haven resident. He was a winter resident of Boynton Beach, Fla. He was a retired Army Lt. Col., having served for more than 25 years. During World War II he was stationed in the Pacific and later in Japan. Before his military career, he worked for the former New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad and retired from the Penn Central RR. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Wallingford and Florida and of Momaguin and a mason of Adelphi Lodge of Masons 138 AF&AM and a shriner of AMARA Temple of Masons of Palm Beach, Fla. He was also a member of the Retired Officers Club of the Army.

Lieut. Bussell Attends Fort Benning School.
Fort Benning, Ga., Nov. 15. First Lieut. Frank T. Bussell, 64 Francis Street, East Haven, Co. D, 102d Infantry Regiment, 43d division, has reported to the Infantry school here for a three months' officers' course which includes a study of all infantry weapons.
The course will conclude January 30, 1942, after which Lieutenant Bussell will return to duty with his organization at Camp Blanding, Fla. An inspector of Diesel and electric locomotives for the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad before induction February 24, 1941, Lieutenant Bussell has a certificate in industrial engineering from the Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, N. Y. Mrs. Bussell and the couple's only child, Walter, seven, are residing in Jacksonville, Fla.
