Imogene B. Leedy, Sept. 2, 1921-Oct. 12, 2007, Imogene B. LEEDY, 86, of 709 E. 700 North, Rochester, died at 6:51 p.m. Friday at home. The daughter of Howard and Nellie Overmyer Anderson, she married Donald M. Leedy on May 5, 1940, in Rochester. He preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 1983. A homemaker, she enjoyed vegetable gardening and had a variety of flowers too. Her home was always decorated for the seasons of the year. An avid bird watcher, she could identify birds by their calls. She enjoyed a game of euchre and her canasta club. Her molasses cookies will be remembered by family and friends. She was a volunteer at the Fulton County Historical Society and a member of the Woodlawn Women's Auxiliary. She was also active in the United Methodist Women's group. She supported Richland Center United Methodist Church and was spiritually-mind. She found great beauty and humor in all things. Survivors include a son, James A. Leedy, Hammond; a daughter-in-law, Jenette Leedy, Palos Hills, Ill.; three grandchildren, Jennifer Jenine and Jer; and three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Ema and Juliana. Nieces and nephews also survive. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jerald L. Leedy; a sister, Marcille A. Nigro; and a brother, William Anderson. Private family services will be held Wednesday. Burial will be at Richland Center IOOF Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Arrangements are by Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester.
