Dallas Henry Peterson
1934 - 2023

Dallas Henry Peterson passed away surrounded by family and his loving wife, Lisa, on Friday, September 22, 2023.

Dallas was known to be an extremely hard worker despite having a few physical ailments. He worked hard at his family ranch in Wayne County, which he considered his true home, often sharing stories of his time on the ranch. He often pulled double shifts at Geneva Steel, which earned him the nickname "Double Shift Pete".

He was very proud of the two cabins he built; one at Sundance located in Provo Canyon, and one in Indianola, Utah.

He enjoyed his retirement immensely and filled those years the same way he worked, with dedication. He spent many happy days at his Indianola cabin with Lisa, family and friends. He and Lisa also loved visiting Mazatlán where they had a timeshare. You could always find Dallas at the gym well into his 80s.

According to Dallas' son, Dick, his favorite song was "My Way" by Frank Sinatra, and that is how he lived his life. Dallas will forever be remembered as a father, grandfather, husband, brother, and a friend to many who knew him.

Dallas is preceded in death by his mother, Eva Pearl White Peterson; father, Harold Wendell Peterson; brother, Wendell; brother, Dean; sister, Grace; son, Steven (mother, Marian Madonna); son, David (mother, Mary Nay); daughter, Diane (mother Mary Nay); and his third wife, Marlene.

He is remembered by his loving wife, Lisa; his son, Dick; stepsons Mark and Carl Ishii; stepdaughters: Lori Ishii and Paige Ishii; sisters, LaFond and Vivian; grandchildren: Taylor, Dianna, Dallas, David, James De Loy Peterson, Natalie Peterson, and Lena Peterson; as well as his stepgrandchildren: McKenzie Ishii (with whom he had a special bond), McKayla Grace, Madison Ishii, and Sienna Ishii. He is also remembered by many additional cousins and family members.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2023, at Provo City Cemetery, 160 South State Street, Provo, Utah. The family will receive friends at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to services at the cemetery.
