Ruth S. Ward, 89, a resident of the Bradner Village nursing home, died Saturday at the home.
Miss Ward was born in Fairmount. She lived in Marion for 35 years before moving to Indianapolis, where she lived for 37 years, before returning to Marion in 1976. She had worked as an accountant for Marion Lumber and Marion Hardware. She also worked as an accountant in Indianapolis.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Marion and the American Society of Women Accountants. She was a former member of the Indiana Symphony Society and a charter member of the Marion Loyalty League.
There are no immediate survivors.
Graveside rites will be Tuesday at the Marion IOOF Cemetery, with the Rev. Robert Bardeen officiating. Raven Funeral Home, Marion, will be in charge of arrangements.
