PENOBSCOT – Ruth M. Farnham, 69, died Nov. 16, 2011, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Jan. 18, 1942, in Bangor, daughter of Wilber Lloyd and Marie (Clements) Arey.

Ruth graduated from Bucksport High School, class of 1960. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She worked many hours with Sylvia and Bob at their greenhouse.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dennis I. Farnham of Penobscot; four children, Skip Farnham and significant other, Jody Reynolds, of Penobscot, Teresa Higgins and husband, Kevin, of Stockton Springs, Debbie Brown and husband, Roger, of Prospect, and Linda Gray and significant other, Rick Gray, of Penobscot; 13 grandchildren; one brother, Robert Arey and wife, Sylvia, of Penobscot; two sisters, Jean Chambers and husband, Larry, of Bucksport, and Carol LaDeau of Columbia; several nieces and nephews.
