Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Merle W. Byram; two daughters; Brenda and husband, Thomas Kenchel, of Huntsville, Ala., and Susan and husband, Ron Page, of Hendersonville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Byram was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy, a member of Masonic Lodge and a Senior Silver Hair Legislator.
He retired from the Farmer's Home Administration after 27 years of service. He was a Boy Scout leader for several years. He was a member of York Terrace Baptist Church, serving as deacon, Sunday school teacher and superintendent.
