Corine Somerville Mallet, wife of O'Neil Mallet, passed away on January 27, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born at Saint John on June 7, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Ken and Lila (Bond) Somerville. Corine worked as a paralegal, most recently with Mosher Chedore.
In addition to her husband and best friend, Corine is survived by her brothers Leslie Somerville of Evandale, Gordon Somerville of Mississauga, ON, sister Christine Schneider of Kelowna, BC, cousins Barbara Anne Day, Frank Alan Day (Evelyn), both of Saint John, as well as several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Corine was pre-deceased by a brother Kenneth Somerville, and a sister, Shirley Totten.
In keeping with Corine's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family graveside service will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Kidney Foundation or the Canadian Liver Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
