Mrs. Phyllis K. Richardson, 69, of Davis Bend, the widow of Rev. Jackie Richardson, passed away Sunday morning, November 13, 2011 in the Signature Healthcare of Georgetown. She was a daughter of Ardith Irene Large Daniels and the late Walter Daniels born on December 25, 1941 in Middlesboro.
Mrs. Richardson was a former J.C. Penny sales clerk and a member of the First Apostolic Church in Middlesboro. She enjoyed playing the piano, organ and accordion.
In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Leach.
Survivors include her mother, Irene Daniels of Middlesboro; her children, Cuy Richardson of Georgetown and Todd Richardson of Barbourville; a sister, Donna Rimel and husband, George, of Oak Ridge, TN; a brother, Troy Daniels of Monroe, MI; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, November 18 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Charles Bush and Rev. Robert Fox officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Duncan Cemetery in Tazewell, TN.
Casket bearers will be family and friends.
Expressions of sympathy may go to Hospice of the Bluegrass in loving memory of Mrs. Richardson.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
