Ella May Preston, daughter of Henry Clay Preston and Virginia Alice Carpenter, was born July 25, 1877, in Newton, Iowa and died January 30, 1978 in Sterling, Colorado at the age of 101 years. On December 21, 1898 she was united in marriage to Harry Burch Minert. To this union were born three children, two daughters, Gladys, who preceded her mother in death several years ago, Mrs. Frank Dredia of Omaha, and a son, Gerald, also of Omaha.
