From an obit for Benjamin's wife, Nevada, published in the San Juan Prospector 10 October 1916.
...In 1874 Benjamin and Nevada Bowen were married and together they located on and just east of the Seven-mile Plaza bridge. Later they removed to Del Norte and became interested in what is known as the Esmond mining property in Summitville.
From 1877 until the time of his death in Del Norte, Nov 24, 1903, he conducted a barber shop.
Three children were born to this union: J. Sidney, Jessie, and Nellie, all of whom are now married.
Note: Nellie J. Duval is listed with the family in 1900. Her birthdate is listed as Sept. 1886. Nothing further is known about her. pwc
