Born June 15, 1923, in Conway to the late Joe and Willie Bailey of Conway. He was the founder and president of Bailey Paint Inc., which he founded in 1983. His hard work, dedication and 50 years experience in the commercial and industrial painting business led Bailey Paint to become one of the largest paint contracting companies in Arkansas. His company is responsible for finishing many large buildings in the central Arkansas area, including Conway Regional Medical Center, UCA, Hendrix College, Acxiom and the CBC campus. He was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church of Conway.
Survivors are his wife, Glenda Bailey; two sons, David Bailey and wife Jane and Mark Bailey and wife Tina, all of Conway; a daughter, Pam Pruitt and husband Charlie of Conway; a stepson, Johnny Zappa of Conway; nine grandchildren, Eric Bailey and wife Kelly of Conway, Brooke Bailey of Conway, Bret Bailey of Conway, Amanda Pruitt of Florida, Ashley Pruitt of Conway, Janson Bailey of Conway, Brekyn Bailey of Conway, Sierra Zappa of Vilonia and Zachary Zappa of Conway; three great-grandchildren, Lakyn, Beau and Luke Bailey of Conway; a sister-in-law, Louise Bailey of Conway; a brother-in-law, Jake Starkey of Benton and his mother-in-law, BurnNell Stevens of Greenbrier.
Funeral services will be held at Woodland Heights Baptist Church (Prince and Hogan Lane) Friday at 10 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Eric Bailey, Brent Bailey, Bob Bailey, David Finton, Jim Finton, Randy Williams, Randy Brown and Jerry Pack. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Hendrix, John Muse, L.G. Reynolds, Hassell Bailey and Danny Goodwin.
