Edith was born in Sturgeon, Boone county, MO, 28 July, 1918. She moved to Collinsville, III., in June 1998. Mrs. Carr was a member of the First Baptist Church in Collinsville.
Edith worked for the Frisco Railroad and retired in 1982. She was a member of the Frisco Ladies Group. Edith was married to Lonnie Carr; they resided in Springfield, MO, for 27 years until Lonnie passed away in 1994. Mrs. Carr attended Moberly High School and began work in the Brown Shoe Company. She moved to Springfield n 1964.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Cora Lee Gulick; her brother, Lester Gulick; and her husband, Lonnie Carr.
Edith is survived by her son, Michael (Linda) White; grandchildren, Joshua, and Chantal (Jeff) Chandler; and her great-granddaughter, Claire Austin Chandler; her sister, Mrs. Pauline Carey.
Burial in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens.
