James A. Ferguson

James Albert Ferguson, aged 52, of 1070 Griffith St., Apt. 497, died suddenly of a heart attack at 6:25 a.m. Sunday at his home.

Mr. Ferguson was a car inspector employed by the Erie Railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood Of Railroad Trainmen. During World War I he was in the Army 4 1/2 years, serving 23 months overseas with the 135th Machine Gun Battalion of the 37th Division. He was born n Youngstown Nov. 29, 1895, a son of Henry and Betsy Hamer Ferguson.

He leaves his wife, the former Theresa Freisen, whom he married 31 years ago, a daughter, Geraldine and a grandson at home; his father Henry Ferguson of Youngstown, seven brothers, Joseph, Richard, William, Henry, Alexander and Thomas all of Youngstown, and Walter of Girard, three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Moss, Mrs. John Bobovynk and Mrs. Joseph Morthland, all of Youngstown.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Weller Funeral Home, where friends may call this evening and Tuesday afternoon and evening. Members of the 37th Division Association are to meet at the funeral home at 7:30p.m. Tuesday
