George C. Groetz, 92, of Akron, died Sunday, morning, Jan. 24, 1988.
Mr. Groetz was born in Akron, was a lifelong area resident who served with the U.S. Army in World War I, and retired in 1960 from the Dannemiller Grocery Co., where he was employed for 35 years as a saleman.
He was preceded in death by wife, Edna, in 1984; and is survived by daughter, Marilyn LaViers of Akron; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
There will be no calling hours. Funeral services 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Dunn-Quigley-Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 8141 Grant St., Akron, Rev. Fr. Richard Evans officiating. Interment Smithville Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to your favorite charity.
