Floyd Chasteen served in WWII, which he was very proud of. He served as a cook/mess sergeant with the Army across Europe in 1942, '43, and '44. When he was discharged he came home to his wife, Anna Mae Hughes Chasteen, and daughter. He worked at the Tenn. Copper Company in Copperhill, TN until he was retired on disability.
