Sophia Bell Ring Mynear, 81, passed away Monday, November 14, 2011 at Johnson-Mathers Nursing Home.
She was born October 12, 1930 in Nicholas County to the late Taylor & Della Mae Florence Ring, was a devoted homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church of Carlisle.
She is survived by 2 sons, Don (Maryellen) Mynear, of Lexington, & Will Mynear, of Carlisle, a daughter, Becky (Darrell) Parton, of Sevierville, Tennessee, a brother, Woodie (Margaret) Ring, 2 sisters, Callie Alexander & Anita Clark, all of Carlisle, and 4 grandchildren, Matt Lynam, Rick Lynam, Taylor Mynear & Taryn Sparks.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Mynear, a son, Daniel Mynear, 2 brothers, Clark & John Ring and 2 sisters, Elizabeth Snapp & Adeline Wilson.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Steve Smith with burial following in the Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday until the time of services.
