Eli Robert Daniel died this morning at 5 a. m. at his home on Grove Avenue.
He was born December 15th, 1870 at Spring Valley, Grayson County, Virginia.
He was the son of John and Ella Carson Daniel, he was married to Margaret Hester Johnson August 30, 1896 at Crockett, Va.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W. B. Friend, Roanoke, and Miss. Blanche Daniel, Radford; two grandchildren, Mrs. Charles Neikirk, Washington Courthouse, Ohio, and Danny Friend, Roanoke; two great grandchildren, Tony and Barbara Neikirk; one sister, Mrs. John Hannah, Pilger, Neb,; four brothers, A. J. and C. C. Daniel. Galax; N. G. Daniel, Staunton, Neb; and K. M. Daniel, Norfolk, Neb.
The body will remain at DeVilbiss Funeral Home until 10:0000 a.m. Wednesday when it will be removed to the home. Funeral will be hild Thursday at 3 p. m at Grove Avenue Methodist Church. The Rev. E. A. Eldridge and the Rev. Harold Russell will conduct the services. Interment will be in Sunrise Cemetery.
