Gloria Irene Van Tassell Rogers, 61, of Orem, died March 3, 1994, at her home of cancer.
She was born March 3, 1933, in Mars Hill, Maine to Almon Albert and Thelma Mae White Van Tassell. She married Lawrence Carter June 13, 1949. They were later divorced. she married Ben Leavitt Rogers July 13, 1981 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple for time and all eternity.
She is survived by her husband, two sons: Larry Carter of Draper, Utah; Daniel Carter of Orem, Utah; three daughters: Mrs. Keith Dresser (Brenda) of Bangor, Maine; Mrs. David McCalmon (Patricia) of Magna, Utah; and Rosa Carter of salt Lake City, Utah; eight stepchildren: David, Russell, Clark, Michael & Jay Rogers, Mrs. Kathryn Carter, Mrs. Carol Dunn, and Barbara Gant; nine grandchildren, 22 step-grandchildren, two brothers: Claude VanTassell of Saco, Maine; George VanTassell of Derry, N.H.; three sisters: Claire Dawnie Sheppard of Hingham, Mass.; Frances Stone of Waterville, Maine; Gladys Williams of Old Towne, Maine; several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, James Michael Carter, her parents, one brother and two sisters.
Burial was March 8, 1994.
