Chico Enterprise-Record, Thursday, August 7, 1975, pg 3A, col 4: Services are set at 2 p.m. Friday at the Brusie Funeral Home for Jean Elizabeth Groshong, 46, of 1413 Manchester Road, who died Wednesday at a local hospital.

Born June 19, 1929, in Fresno, she was educated there and in Berkeley before attending Western Reserve University in Cleveland, where she also worked at the school of medicine.

She was married in May 19623 to Dr. David Groshong and resided in Los Altos, Palo Alto, Modesto and Campbell before moving to Chico a year ago.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Groshong is survived by a son, Mark David of Chic; a daughter, Christine E. Chanchorle of Chico; her mother, Elizabeth Ainsworth of Pacific Grove, a stepson, Jeffery of Chico; and a sister, Elizabeth Wiltshire of the Netherlands. She was a niece of the late novelist, Joh Steinbeck.

Rev. Wendell Pew will officiate at tomorrow’s service with interment to following Glen Oaks Memorial Park. Donations to a favorite charity are welcomed by the family.
