Charles Austin Goodman, Jr., 90, Glasgow, died Friday at his residence. Born September 16, 1910 in Glasgow, he was a son of the late Clara Franklin and Charles Austin Goodman, Sr. He graduated from Glasgow High School and later attended the University of Kentucky. He was owner and operator of Crown Laundry and Cleaners in Glasgow, a former member of the Glasgow City Council and a veteran of WW II.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Robert Porter Goodman of Lexington and Charles Logan Goodman of Glasgow; four grandchildren, Mrs. Samuel House (Marilee) Varner, Anne Goodman O'Connor and Robert Porter Goodman, Jr. all of Lexington, and Charles Austin Goodman, IV of Glasgow; four great-grandchildren, William Goodman Varner, Robert Porter Goodman, III, Anne Alexander Varner and Elizabeth Day Varner; two brothers, Robert F. Goodman of Glasgow and Julian Goodman of New York.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
