Jean Adams Love, 81, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2011. The only daughter of 3 children she was born July 21, 1930 in Clearfield, Utah to Clyde Bennett Adams and Ruth Evelyn Harris. She graduated from Davis High School where she served as a class and student body officer. She married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Jay G Love on September 20, 1948. The following year they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

Jean and Jay raised a family of eight children on a farm in North East Layton. It was a happy home where hard work, education, and most especially the gospel of Jesus Christ were valued and taught. Jean spent her life in service to her family and her church. She served in many callings including Relief Society President, but the calling she loved most was working in the scouting program. She served faithfully as a scout leader for many years. She helped more boys earn their Eagle Scout award than we can count, and she was awarded the Silver Beaver Award. She and her husband Jay served as Temple workers in the Ogden Temple.

Jean loved a project. Some of her projects included building several homes, and developing a subdivision. Recently she built a replica home honoring her Great Grandfather Elias Adams. Mom always loved and revered her ancestors and shared their stories with her children and grandchildren.

Our mother cherished each of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She always felt her greatest accomplishment was her family.

Surviving are her devoted husband, Jay; and children Jaydene Love, Robert & Dana Love, Evan & Carol Love, Mary and Russell Jensen, Adams and Louise Love, Joe and MaryAnn Love, Tom and Moira Love, Kim and Scott Killpack; brother E. Harris & Ethel Adams, sister-in-law Catherine Adams; 50 grandchildren and 67, and counting, great-grand-children. She was preceded in death by three sons, Samuel Love, and infant boys James and William Love, and brother, Neil J. Adams.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 18, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Antelope Chapel, 590 W. 2000 N. (Antelope Dr) Layton. Friends may visit family Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Antelope Chapel.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.

The family suggests that donations be made to the General Temple Patrons Assistance Fund.
