Mr. Abrell, a resident of Sun City, Calif., died Monday at a convalescent center in Hemet, Calif. after a lengthy illness. He had been active in the Muncie business community for 20 years while employed at Knapp Supply Co.
He was born in Macedonia, Ind., and resided in Muncie most of his life. He retired in 1962 and moved to California. He was a veteran of World War I. Mr. Abrell was a 50-year member of Muncie Lodge 433, F&AM, and a former member of Elks 245, Muncie Lions Club, Scottish Rite, Valley of Fort Wayne, and the Murat Temple, Indianapolis.
Surviving are his wife, Zelma; a sister, Leona McLaughlin, Fort Myers, Fla.; two half-sisters, Evelyn McMillen, Jeffersonville, and Verlito Hardy, Silver Springs, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.
