Jennifer Lee Villarin, 45, of Novato, died in a homicide August 6 in Marin County. She was born in Salinas where she lived for 25 years before moving to Marin County 20 years ago. She was a bartender at the Papermill Saloon. She enjoyed making crafts, especially jewelry. She also enjoyed researching Indian history and loved all animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guillermo Villarin and Peggy Munsell, brother Lucio Villarin, and daughter Selina Bishop.

She leaves her brothers David Villarin and Robert Asuncion, both of Salinas; sisters Lydia Young of Lake Tahoe, Yolanda Gaytan of San Benito, Texas, and Olga Land of Boulder Creek; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family services will be announced at a later date. Her ashes will be placed in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas. Cremation is under the direction of Healey Mortuary, Salinas.
