~FUNERAL OF AGED PASTOR THURSDAY

Rev. R. H. ROGERS, in Ministry 35 years, to Be Buried at Hochheim

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at Hochheim for Rev. Robert H. ROGERS, San Antonio Presbyterian minister, who died Monday at Hochheim, 85 years old. Rev. ROGERS had been in the ministry for 35 years with a record of having fostered the building of an average of one church building each year since his ordination. Rev. ROGERS came to San Antonio 17 years ago from West Virginia where he had been field secretary for the Presbyterian Board of Missions in the States of West Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky and Louisiana. He was born in Maine in 1841.

Rev. ROGERS organized the West End Presbyterian church in San Antonio. This is now the Woodlawn Presbyterian Church. He has served a number of pastorates in this section, for the last two years having the joint pastorates of Hochheim and Fentress. Under his ministry church buildings have been erected at both places.-- San Antonio Express.
