Plymouth – Mrs. Bertha Liese, 81, resident of Plymouth and vicinity practically all her life, passed away Thursday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Meyer at Madison. She had been ill since last November.
She was born Jan. 19, 1857 at Plymouth, the daughter of Christian and Fredericks Lautenbach. On May 14, 1877, she was married to Louis Liese who preceded her in death 31 years ago. For the past few years Mrs. Liese has lived at the homes of her children.
She is survived by one son, Arthur, of Appleton; two daughters, Mrs. Alyce Wolcott and Mrs. Charles (Lillie) Meyer, both of Madison; four grandchildren and one great grandson.
Funeral services will be held at the Wittkopp Funeral Home and at the First Congregational church here. The Rev. Samuel Bullough, pastor, will officiate with burial in Union cemetery.
