He enlisted in Bath County, Ky. on 15 Aug. 1812 in Capt. George Pugh's Company of the 1st Regiment of Kentucky Volunteer Militia. Served with General Winchester and General William H. Harrison, and taken prisoner by the British. Born 8 June 1789 in Bath County, Ky. - married Elizabeth Morgan 18 Sept 1815; Died 20 May 1870 in Parke County Ind
