James Raymond "Jim" Clowney, 83, of Port St. Lucie, passed away on June 16, 2015 in Fort Pierce.
Mr. Clowney was born in Water Valley, Mississippi. He lived in Plantation for many years before relocating to Port St. Lucie in 2002. Jim was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Air Force. Prior to retirement, Jim worked as Vice President of Oriole Homes Land Development. He was a longtime member of Bible Believers Baptist Church.
Jim was the beloved husband of Sandra Dale Croft Clowney for the past 56 years; loving father of Sandra Jean Bello, and Catherine Vera Horn (Randy Mark Horn); cherished granddaddy of Amanda Jean Bello, Sandra Kristine Bello, Laura Elizabeth Finch, James Kevin Finch, and Jennifer Lynn Finch; adoring great granddaddy of Matthew James Bello, Anthony Jayden Bello, Sophia Lexi Logan, Victoria Elizabeth Finch, Julia Faith Depue, and Isabella Lynn Finch; and dear brother of Herman Russell Clowney and Patsy Jean Edwards.
James has now joined his parents, William and Maggie Clowney, his brother William Henry Clowney, and his sister Margaret Smith in Heaven.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 PM, with a funeral service at 3 PM, on Monday, June 22, 2015, at Yates Funeral Home’s Port St. Lucie Chapel. Interment will be at 2 PM, on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Trilby Cemetery in Trilby, Florida.
