Frank E. Sedlacek, 73, Nickerson, died unexpectedly Friday at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County from a heart attack. he was a machinist for Valmont Industries in Valley.
Mr. Sedlacek was a longtime Nickerson resident. He was born March 18, 1913, in Kansas. He was a member of the VFW in Nickerson, First Presbyterian Church in Fremont and was a World War II veteran. On Feb. 16, 1947, he married Venice Holotta in Lyons. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Francis of Loveland, Colo.; daughter, Sylvia Pic of Greeley, Colo.; two sisters, Ann Valder of Omaha and Mildred Grothe of Tekamah; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Munderloh Funeral Home in Pender. The body will be cremated and the ashes buried at Rose Hill in Pender.
