Evening Republican, Monday, Dec. 4, 1916 Thomas W. Conner, aged 69 years, died Sunday night at 9 o'clock at his home one mile southwest of Walesboro. While the deceased had not been in good health for several years, the immediate illness preceding his death was only of four days' duration. In earlier years he was actively engaged in the ministry, having last occupied the pulpit of the first M.E. church in this city about 30 years ago during the illness of the regular pastor. While pastor of the M.E. church at Arlington, Ind., he first experienced a nervous breakdown, since which time he never fully recovered his health. Since being forced to give up active work in the church he has been engaged in farming.

Mr. Conner is survived by his wife, three sons and one daughter. The sons are Alton, of Shelbyville, Archie T., of this city and Joseph, of this county, residing at the home place. The daughter is Mrs. Elza Phillips.

Funeral services will be held from the residence Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Black. Burial will be in the Daugherty cemetery.
