In Memoriam: Mrs. Mary Stafford, the widow of Major H.R. Stafford, near Eagle Station, died Sunday morning at 6:00 o'clock, Feb. 10, 1889. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. H.W. Elliott in the presence of a large number of neighbors and friends at her son, H.W. Stafford's, on Monday, Feb. 11 at 2:00 o'clock. Mrs. Stafford was one among the oldest in the county having been born Aug. 6, 1801, and hence died near her 88th mile post. Her maiden name was Mary Hunter, and after her second marriage, she removed from Jessamine, the county of her birth, to this county in 1838 where she lived until her death. She was the mother of a large family of children . . .
