Ruth was the second of five children born to Roland Robert and Ora Tina (Arndt) Robinson. She married William Kean Boatenreiter and they were the parents of three children: William Bruce, Carole Louise and Elizabeth Ann.

Ruth Robinson Boatenreiter, 81, of Wellspring Retirement, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at her home.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001, at Starmount Presbyterian Church, 3501 West Market St., with Pastor Mike Shelton and Associate Pastor Eric Thompson. Burial will follow in Westminster Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Boatenreiter was born March 8, 1919, in Maiden. She was a member of Starmount Presbyterian Church. Ruth graduated from Lenoir Rhyne College, Hickory, with a bachelors degree and was a teacher in the Greensboro City Schools for 33 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kean Boatenreiter; her sister, Eudora R. Brick; and two brothers, William David Robinson and Ray Rollin Robinson.

Survivors include one son, William Bruce Boatenreiter of Charlotte; two daughters, Carol Louise Smith and Elizabeth Ann Williamson, both of Raleigh; brother, Henry Robinson of Maiden; and five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
