Mrs. Samuel Wilson died at her home in Fandon last Saturday, June 6, 1884, aged 63 years.
She was born Susan Edmonston in Dubois County, Indiana in 1822.
When she was 8 years old she came with her parents to McDonough County and settled in Middletown ( now Fandon ).
Before she was 15 years old, she married Samuel Wilson who survives.
Most of her life has been spent in the area where she died except for a few years residence in Kansas and two in Macomb.
She was the mother of 10 children, 7 sons and 3 daughters.
Her husband and 3 sons served in the Civil War.
