Elmer Clayton Hendrix, 89, of Cassville, died August 4 at Red Rose Inn in Cassville.

Mr. Hendrix was born October 3, 1909, in Barry County, the son of Thomas and Carrie Leona Norman Hendrix. He was a lifelong resident of Barry County, having lived in Washburn, Seligman, and Cassville. He was a retired construction worker.

He married Etta Orlean Roller in April of 1926, and she preceded him in death October 6, 1996.

Survivors include four brothers, Virgil Hendrix and Donald Hendrix, both of Seligman, and Osa Hendrix and Willie Hendrix, both of Washburn; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. tomorrow, August 7, at King Cemetery in Seligman with Rev. Willie Hendrix officiating under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville.
