JAMES M. BROADWATER GRANTSVILLE: James M. Broadwater, 81, Star Route, died Sunday in the Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.

Born in Garrett County, he was a son of the late Peter H. Broadwater and Ellen (Broadwater) Broadwater. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Grantsville Post 214 American Legion. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Hester (Colfesh) Broadwater; three sons, Ernest Broadwater and Dayton Broadwater, both of here; Ellis Broadwater, Accident; one daughter, Mrs. Verda House, here; two brothers Edward Broadwater, here; Albert Broadwater, Addision, Pa.; two sisters, Miss Oma Broadwater, here; Mrs. Lucinda Wilt, Baltimore; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 p.m. and tomorrow 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m. Services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home by the Rev. Walter Otto. Interment will be in the Grantsville Cemetery.
