Robert Lee Richardson, 54, of 5176 American Legion Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 11997, at Mercy Hospital after a sudden illness. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the George L. Gay Funeral Home with Sister Agnes Giblin officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.
Mr. Richardson was born July 31, 1943, in Marengo to George "Pete" and Margaret (Kelly) Richardson. He married Kathleen Worden on June 10, 1961, in Fulda, Minn. He owned and operated Bob Richardson Painting.
He was a member of Moose Lodge No. 1096.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Marjorie (Brian) Tucker of West Branch and Sheila (Dan) Keating of Iowa City; two sons, Time (Kathy) Richardson and Chad Richardson and his fiancée, Meagan Cornwell, all of Iowa City; three sisters, Bonnie Schwab of Belle Plain, Franny Grant of Blue Grass and Maggie Owens of Milan, Ill.; three brothers, Jack Luce of West Branch, Jim Richardson of Coal Valley, Ill., and George Richardson of Laporte City; five half-sisters, Doris Alcott, Katherine Johnson, Glendola Coach, Naomi Wilkinson and Margo Pease; and 11 grandchildren.
