Philip Creighton Burlingame was born, Mar. 10, 1892, the son of Clifford Herman Burlingame and Clarissa Landenberger Burlingame of Smethport, PA.

He served three years in the US Military (16th Infantry) earning the rank of Mess Sergeant.

P. Creighton Burlingame (age 23), of Erie at the time, married Bernice Alice Jackson April 14, 1915 in Ridgeway, NY (Orleans County), Minister W. A. Harris, presiding. Christel Comes and Fred C. Burlingame served as witnesses.

Bernice (age 21), a resident of Ridgeway, NY, was the daughter of Burt Jackson and Grace Comstock.

At the time of his wedding, P. Creighton was employed as an Assistant Store Keeper for the General Electric Corporation in Erie, PA.

Their children included Ruth (born c. 1919), Philip C., Jr (born 1920)and Clarissa (born c. 1917).

By the 1930 US Census, P. Creighton was listed as working as a mechanical engineer at a chemical factory.

He died Jan. 24, 1932 in Medina, NY.
