"Chester Wood Scott, 49, died Wednesday morning at St. Mary's Hospital in Kansas City where he had been a patient since Tuesday night. He had been in failing health for several months and serious for the past month.
He attended the Shootman School. He resided in Carroll County his entire life and had always farmed.
He is survived by his wife, his father, a daughter, a son, two brothers, two sisters, and several nieces and nephews."
