Calvin A. King, 88, of Ocala passed away on November 9, 2011. He was born on July 8, 1923 in Fillmore, Utah to the late William and Orpha (Fletcher) King. He was the husband of Jean (Meek) King. He and Jean were married for 69 years.
The viewing will take place on Sat. November 12, 2011 at 12pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Ocala, with a graveside service to follow at 1pm in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Ocala. Receiving of friends will be immediately after the services at Hampton Manor Deerwood assisted living at 1810 S.E. 14th Pl., Ocala, Fl. 34471.
Calvin was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He served on the Warship Midway.
Calvin and his wife Jean lived and worked in Tennessee where he was a CPA partner with Ernst and Young. He was past president of the Red Cross in Tennessee also a past president of the Tennessee Society of Public Accountants. He was an usher at the First Baptist Church where they attended Sunday services.
In lieu of flowers the family asks memorial donations be made to St. Judes Children Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis Tn. 38105.
