Laura Cooper, age 86, of Fergus Falls formerly of Pelican Rapids, died Thursday, November 10, 2011 At PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.

Laura Beth Cooper was born January 19, 1925 to Fred and Bess (Shaw) Pearson in Des Moines, IA.

On November 18, 1944, she was married to Orville E. Cooper.

She is survived by her children, Thomas (Peggy) Cooper of New Brighton, MN, Pamela (Rick) Hoel of Bluffton, SC, Robert (Chip) Cooper of Pelican Rapids, MN, Trish (Darren) Olson If Hanley Falls, MN, and Beth Montgomery of Bluffton, SC; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Orville, December 23, 2007.

Funeral Services: 1 PM, Friday, November 11, 2011, PioneerCare Chapel

Visitation: one hour prior to the service

ON May 19,2012 the remains of Laura Beth and Orville Cooper from Pela Rapids, Minn., were scattered on Laura Beth's parents, Fred and Bess Pearson at the Oaklawn Cemetery. Laura Beth graduated from CHS in 1943. Their son Tommy from Minnesota, their daughter Pam from South Carolina. their son Bobby from North Dakota and their grandson from North Dakota and their youngest child Beth Ann from Minnesota. scattered their ashes and sang a couple of songs that they used to sing with their mother, which were her favorite songs. Also attending were Ann "Frazier" Spurgson, Alba, Iowa, Linda "Frazier" Weldon, Lorvilla, Iowa, nieces of the Coopers. Their cousins Betty and Nelson Ray, Classmate Marjorie Parkhurst, and friend Kenneth Bondurant all of Cainsville also attended.
